REPERTOIRE FOR THE INTERNATIONAL MARIMBA SOLO COMPETITION 2007
Registration-forms for the chosen repertory will be provided to all candidates after registration.
Round one

Round two
(1) One of following pieces:

-Prelude and Allegro- Mukai Kohei
-Laudate Lignum –Werner Heider

-Convergence I –Yoshihisa Taira
-Marimba d’amore - Keiko Abe
Round three /semi-final
(1) Free piece: maximum 10 minutes
(2) Obligatory Piece:
-The Wave for marimba solo & 4 percussionists by Keiko Abe
Final round
-In following order (1), (2) as indicated -
(1) Set piece:
Commissioned solo piece 2007 / supported by Ministry of Culture.
-Nimbostratus for solo marimba composed by Ludwig Albert
(2) -Finalist recital
Each finalist will perform a free concert program of 35’.
You may perform a free varied program of any pieces, which may include own compositions and arrangements.
You can also perform pieces from the total competition list, but it is not allowed to repeat pieces you performed during other rounds. If you will perform pieces which are not included in the total competition list of suggested pieces, it will be required to send one published score or copy (with approval from the composer to the organisation before June 1st, 2007

Choose 2 pieces with a maximum duration of 15 minutes from the suggested list.

Commissioned duo piece 2007/ supported by Ministry of Culture.
-The Kundalini of the Playing Koalas composed by Jan Van Landeghem (composer in residence)
(2) -Finalist recital
