Japan Wind and Percussion Competition

The Japan Musical Education and Culture Promotion Society is accepting applications for contestants in the 25th Japan Wind and Percussion Competition. The event takes place in Tokyo, Japan from November 4-21.

International Competitions Available Through Italy PAS Chapter

This September the Italy PAS Chapter will host an International Competition of Composition for Percussion Instruments, an International Competition for Percussion Instruments and Drumset and the Italy Days of Percussion. This year, the events span September 1-6, 2008 in Fermo, Italy.

NAMM Announces Summer Dates for 2009

NAMM has announced that 2009 Summer NAMM will take place July 17-19 in Nashville, Tenn. The 2008 Summer NAMM event was judged to be a success by most NAMM Members. At show close, NAMM reported a 36 percent increase in registration with 17,473 total registrants for the three-day event, including a 45 percent increase in international registrants. Exhibitor numbers were also up at the Nashville Convention Center, with 483 companies displaying and demonstrating products.
